World Wide Security wins 2010 Community Service Award from First AlertDecember 13, 2010—Garden City, New York—On a bright summer day, World Wide Security/GC Alarm fire safety professionals gathered to enjoy America’s favorite pastime, baseball. The message however, was a serious one, fire safety. “The best time to spread a message of safety is in a relaxed setting. World Wide teamed up with the Long Island Ducks who are passionate about safety. Throughout the year, the Long Island Ducks have themed baseball games, World Wide created a fire safety message to meet the criteria of an upcoming event. As part of the Honeywell dealer network of companies, World Wide Security knew it would be a perfect collaboration. Thrilled with the idea, Honeywell donated a recently produced, fire safety educational video. World Wide gave away over 2,000 videos to those attending the game. The video on fire safety, available from World Wide Security and Honeywell, contains important information on how to keep your family safe, prevention of fires and what to do should a fire happen. The Long Island Ducks, had a goal of creating a fun and informative evening where the potential for saving lives existed. On the day of the event, Honeywell sent a film crew down to document the evening. World Wide was awarded a community service citation from First Alert for this event. |
